Job Description
North American Business Communications Manager
Role Overview
ADM has been undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its 120+-year history to become a global leader in human and animal nutrition, and the world’s premier agricultural origination and processing company.
ADM’s North American Business Communications Managers advance the company’s business priorities by ensuring that colleagues: 1) understand our purpose, strategy and commitments to various stakeholders, and how they can contribute as individuals; and 2) work together to create an inclusive, high-performance culture.
The successful candidate will excel at developing and executing — with minimal support — well-structured communications plans spanning multiple media and audiences, with a particular emphasis on reaching ADM’s Operations teams around the world. This individual will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, collaborative instincts and a strong executive presence. And, they will be expert at turning often highly complex and detailed information into clear, compelling communications across all internal channels.
In addition, the successful candidate will be able to prioritize, manage and execute multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. He or she should also understand how best to measure the success of communications programs and tactics.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field of study is a differentiator.
- 3-5 years related corporate communications or related agency / consultancy experience. Experience in safety communications is a plus.
- Proven success in leadership engagement and influence, as well as broad-based employee communications channels.
- Impeccable oral, written, verbal and formal presentation skills.
- Sharp leadership skills demonstrated by excellence in coaching and developing, multi-disciplinary collaboration and project management competencies, working cross-functionally.
- Ability to craft communications that motivate engagement, commitment, participation and action within the workforce across functions and levels.
- Handles changing priorities, a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines with ease and maturity.
- Strong execution excellence with a highly collaborative mindset to drive shared results.
- English language fluency required.
ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
