Job Description

Financial Systems Analyst - Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, exempt level position.

General
The Financial Systems Support team is a part of the Record to Report (R2R) organization at ADM. The team provides different types of support for the numerous R2R accounting teams, including troubleshooting issues with current processes, system admin for several applications, and the creation, building and enhancing of new and existing accounting processes. Applications that the team supports include Hyperion and Blackline.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Fast-paced support during accounting close period, including, but not limited to, errors in Excel files, troubleshooting issues with automated processes, and assisting with security issues
  • Work with the accounting organization to gather requirements and develop solutions for continuous improvement ideas
  • Develop and implement solutions on “quick win” requests
  • Provide system admin support for Financial Applications
  • Work independently with little supervisor intervention
  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide audit request items
Required Skills:
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Excel, major plus for experience with VBA/macros
  • Comfortability with querying SQL databases, major plus for experience in building and maintaining tables within a SQL database
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts and practices, experiencing in the applying this knowledge a plus
  • Strong ownership over work, independent problem-solving ability, and innovative mindset
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Hyperion or other large ERP systems
  • Experience in both accounting and IT – to efficiently act as a liaison to bridge the gap in communication between the needs of accounting teams and the tech team’s ability to provide support for those needs
  • Microsoft Power BI or other reporting tools experience
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Information Systems
