Director Global Learner Experience - Decatur, IL or Any ADM US Manufacturing site
Overview: The Learner Experience Leader will spearhead initiatives to enhance the learning journey for employees within our manufacturing business. This role focuses on developing and managing engaging learning pathways, innovative instructional design, and effective communication strategies to drive learner engagement and retention. The Leader will ensure that all learning interventions are aligned with the brand and effectively utilize multimodal approaches to create impactful and memorable learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication and Brand Management: Develop and execute a communication strategy that promotes learning programs and aligns with the company’s brand. Ensure that all communications about learning initiatives reflect brand values and engage the audience effectively.
- Instructional Design: Lead Instructional Designer on the team or external vendors in the creation and enhancement of instructional materials and learning interventions. Apply best practices in instructional design to develop content that is engaging, effective, and suitable for various learning styles and modalities.
- Multimodal Learning Interventions: Implement and oversee the use of diverse learning modalities (e.g., e-learning, classroom training, simulations, on-the-job training) to cater to different learning preferences and enhance the overall learning experience.
- Engaging Learning Pathways: Design and manage structured learning pathways that guide employees through their development journey. Ensure that these pathways are well-defined, engaging, and aligned with career progression and organizational goals.
- Innovative Learning Experiences: Identify and integrate innovative learning technologies and methods to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the learning experience.
- Learner Engagement and Retention: Develop strategies to maximize learner engagement and retention. Monitor and analyze learner feedback, participation rates, and outcomes to refine and improve learning programs.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, operational leaders, and subject matter experts, to ensure that learning initiatives meet organizational needs and objectives. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support the implementation and success of learning programs.
- Program Evaluation and Reporting: Assess the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis and feedback. Provide regular reports on program performance, learner progress, and impact to key stakeholders. Use insights to make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and updating learning content and methodologies. Implement feedback mechanisms to ensure that learning interventions remain relevant, effective and engaging.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in instructional design or learning experience design are a plus.
- Proven experience in instructional design, learning and development, or a similar role within a manufacturing or corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of multimodal learning strategies and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
- Experience in brand management and developing communication strategies.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to drive learner engagement and retention through innovative approaches.
- Analytical skills to evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
