Job Description

Data Modeler (Multiple Positions), Archer Daniels Midland Company, Decatur, IL.
Develop logical and physical data models across all enterprise data platforms. Govern the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices. Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms. Implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop logical/physical data models. Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models. Address project requirements and articulate issues to reduce project delivery risks.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $144,810.00 - $154,810/yr. Standard company benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Data Science, or a related field, and five (5) years of post-bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Data Science, or a related field, and three (3) years of related work experience.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in:

  • Relational, dimensional, or analytic experience;
  • Using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols;
  • Data warehouse, Data Lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts;
  • Metadata management, data modeling, and related tools such as Erwin or ER Studio;
  • Implementing data strategies, creating logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy;
  • Performing reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts; and
  • Evaluating data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.

Up to 10% domestic travel required.

100% telecommuting permitted.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$144,810.00 - $154,810/yr
