The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality & ISO Manager to lead, maintain and continuously improve Quality and Food Safety Management Systems within a manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring that products, processes and operational activities comply with customer requirements, applicable ISO standards, food safety requirements, internal procedures and regulatory obligations. The successful candidate will work closely with production, receiving, laboratory, logistics, suppliers and other key stakeholders to drive a strong culture of quality, compliance, food safety and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable ISO standards, food safety standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage internal audit programmes, non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and maintain HACCP programmes, GMP standards and prerequisite programmes.
  • Oversee quality control activities for incoming raw materials, production processes, packaging and finished products.
  • Monitor product quality trends, food safety risks, customer complaints, returns and non-conforming products.
  • Support compliance of product labels, packaging information and related documentation.
  • Oversee laboratory quality activities, including testing procedures, calibration, equipment controls and analytical processes.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on quality and food safety performance indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce risk and strengthen compliance.
  • Develop, coach and support employees on quality, food safety, HACCP, GMP and ISO requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, service providers, third-party partners, customers and regulatory authorities on quality-related matters.
  • Promote a proactive quality and food safety culture across the site.
Your Profile
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering or a related field.
  • ISO 9001 and/or ISO 22000 certification or relevant training.
  • HACCP training.
  • Internal auditing qualification or proven internal auditing experience.
Experience and Knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality and food safety supervisory or management role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, production or food-related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Practical understanding of HACCP, GMP, prerequisite programmes and internal auditing.
  • Good knowledge of applicable quality, food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Laboratory knowledge, including quality testing, calibration and analytical processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis and corrective action management skills.
  • Experience managing customer complaints, supplier quality issues and non-conforming products.
