Job Summary

At Caterpillar we design industry leading mining and heavy construction machines that deliver a quality product to our customers. As an Engine Install Engineering Team Leader, you will manage multiple and complex engineering projects involving multiple functions, organizations, products, and value chains. This role will focus on engine installation systems for Off Highway Truck platforms. This role will lead a team across multiple disciplines to execute NPI programs and continuous improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Coordinating resources across sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing.
  • Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
  • Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing engineering projects with cross-functional scope.
  • Strong technical expertise in product design, troubleshooting, and development.
  • Extensive experience in project management, including risk analysis and contingency planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through technical expertise and stakeholder engagement.

Degree Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited institution.

  • Product Design & Development: Creating innovative solutions and managing product lifecycles.
  • Technical Excellence: Designing prototypes, resolving technical challenges, and mentoring others.

  • Project Management: Estimating costs, staffing, and monitoring large-scale projects.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Products and Services Knowledge: Understanding product linkages, delivery models, and market positioning.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
