Logistics Production Manager

Job Description:
Join our team as a 3rd Shift Logistics Production Manager, where you’ll lead and optimize operations across fabrication, machining, assembly, distribution, storage areas, and key point-of-use locations to keep our logistics engine running at peak performance.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Creating reports and records of logistic processes and inventory accuracy; sharing them with managers and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.
- Preparing, maintaining, and updating documentation related to logistic procedures and safety and quality standards; ensuring all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards.
- Supervising and directing the daily activities of material handlers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance.
- Training new hires, managing scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
What Skills you will have:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to define problems, analyze data using tools like flow charts and Pareto charts, and draw logical conclusions.
- Planning and Organizing: Skilled at identifying bottlenecks, prioritizing tasks, and creating actionable plans to meet objectives.
- Process Improvement: Expertise in analyzing workflows, identifying performance gaps, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Talent Management: Proficient in delegating tasks, motivating teams, and managing schedules to optimize workforce performance.
- Manufacturing Safety: Knowledgeable in OSHA compliance, safety inspections, and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
Summary Pay Range:
$79,800.00 - $119,760.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
