Decatur Park DistrictJob Description Job Title: Maintenance Custodian - Third ShiftDepartment: DISCReports To: Maintenance SupervisorFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSalary: $40,000 annual SUMMARYMaintain the Decatur Indoor Sports Center facility in order to provide the public with a positive impression of the facility. This position is third shift and requires employees to work Sunday-Thursday from 9pm-5:30am with an occasional variance in hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES (partial)- Maintain and set up athletic and program equipment.- Maintain and repair building and athletic equipment.- Perform periodic maintenance on equipment and keep documentation.- Conduct facility and equipment inspections monthly.- Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, burnish and vacuum all areas; empty trash; clean vandalism.- Replace air filters; perform painting; notify management of major repair needs.- Mow and trim lawn; occasionally close/lock building and set alarm; use ladders/lifts. QUALIFICATIONS (partial)- Three to six months related experience and/or training. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (partial)- Regular standing; frequent walking; occasional climbing; lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently.- Frequent exposure to fumes/airborne particles/toxic or caustic chemicals; noise usually moderate.
