GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under general direction of the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Mental Health Professional provides mental health services and supports to persons served and families to achieve rehabilitative, resiliency and recovery goals. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop person-centered behavior plans to support the individual behavior and skill development needs of each person served. As a member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) represents Macon Resources, Inc. (MRI) in planning individualized programs, evaluating service effectiveness, and in assuring services are provided in accordance with local, state and federal laws; licensure/certification/accreditation standards; and agency policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with clinical assessments and the development of client-centered treatment plans.
• Ensure billable services are documented and submitted in accordance with applicable rules.
• Implement treatment plans, as written, making recommendations for modifications, as needed.
• Provide training to agency staff to support the implementation of treatment plans.
• Complete case notes and other required documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policy.
• Maintain files in accordance with applicable regulations and agency standards.
• Employee may be asked to perform other duties as required by the employer's business needs.
• Facilitate services to persons served in the areas of: crisis counseling, general counseling, group interaction, and community support and case management.
