Reports to: VP Operations
General Responsibilities
· Responsible for machine shop runs assigned by VP Operations
· Responsible for staging and handling of materials
· Responsible for assisting with the production of steel vessels in a variety of tasks.
· Expected to adhere to Plant Safety Policies as written in the handout during orientation.
· Responsible for completing work, including all required documentation, of all assigned projects within timeline established by the Fitter and/or Plant Manager.
· Responsible for working with and assisting others, including Fitter and other team members in completing projects on time, within budget and in conformance with customer requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
· Assist Receiving Specialist with any concerns with receiving and reporting incoming materials
· Complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
· Maintain company tools in good working order
· Assist with the movement of needed materials and production parts
· Complete sandblasting of vessels
· Clean up and put tools away upon completion of work
· Ability to learn plant practices (operating forklifts, cranes, etc.)
· Assist Controller in taking physical inventory of stock material
Key Interfaces
· Communicates and coordinates daily work with VP Operations, Production Analyst, QC Manager, and Laborer Team Lead
· Communicates with welder and/or fitter on work assignments for particular jobs.
Qualifications
· Demonstrated work habits including punctuality & dependability
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to follow detailed oral instructions
· Physical capability for requirements of job
· Ability to read a tape measure effectively
· Previous experience operating drill press / band saw, and misc. power tools is a plus
