Registered Nurse (RN) - Vascular Access
Manages, coordinates, and performs nursing care with compassion and care for an assigned group of patients and their families and incorporate preventative measures. Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies for vascular lab. Administers medications necessary for peri-operative care of vascular patients. Manages care of patients during moderate procedural sedation, with monitoring of patient and hemodynamics throughout procedure. Understanding use of supplies and equipment used in various vascular procedures. Pre/Post Care of adult patients undergoing vascular and cardiac catheterization procedures. Off hours may require float, depending on staffing needs.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current registration or eligibility for licensure with the State of Illinois for practice as a professional nurse.
- Minimum 6 months of critical care experience (i.e. ICU, CVU, ER etc.)
- Experience providing procedural sedation preferred but not required.
