What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar program, or equivalent combination or work and education
- 5+ years’ experience in Configuration or Release Engineering is required.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently present products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues
- Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
- Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
- Have confidence and be able to establish valuable relationships with others
- Must be able to prioritize key tasks and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
- Be active in seeking out ways to continuously improve yourself and gain new knowledge
- Consistently demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the principles and practices of quality assurance, as well as basic project management methodologies
- Consistently demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices of agile software development
- Willingness to research new processes and technologies
- Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- In depth knowledge of data, hardware, and software CM principles and practices
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
- CM and/or DM Certification e.g. CMTF, NDIA or CDM
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., bash, python, perl) and Linux Redhat OS is preferred
- Experience with software version control software like BitBucket, GitLab, ClearCase
- Experience with software build automation using Jenkins, GitLab Runners, and Conan
- Experience using Jira to track changes, manage Sprints and Kanban boards, create structures and manage requirments using R4J
- Proficient using Excel to create reports
We’ll also need you to:
- Due to ITAR/EAR restrictions, must be a US Citizen
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, ClearCase, and working with databases required
- Experience in the software configuration management discipline including Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), AS9100 or ISO:20000-1
Work Environment:
This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
