Millikin University’s School of Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Psychology specializing in Clinical Psychology beginning August 2026. Potential courses to be taught include Personality Theory, Tests and Measurement, Psychopathology, Developmental Psychology, Sport Psychology, and Experimental Methods. Additionally, the candidate will have a commitment to undergraduate teaching, faculty-student research, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The candidate will teach four courses per semester, depending on the applicant’s expertise and departmental needs. In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to advise Psychology majors; engage in research and scholarly activities; and commit to university service.

A PhD in Psychology is required for this position. ABD candidates will be considered if their defense date is scheduled prior to the start date of the position.

Millikin University is a private, comprehensive institution serving approximately 1,800 undergraduate, graduate, full-time and part-time students who study in four colleges/schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, Fine Arts and Professional Studies.
