Job Title: Fire/Water Technician
Department: Water/Fire Division
Reports To: Appropriate Division Manager
Position Summary – The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to the restoration and carpet cleaning divisions for residential / commercial customers. Services would include but are not limited to, fire restoration (includes air ducts), water extraction (includes mold remediation.
Essential Functions
- Service on-location (both residential/commercial) cleaning appointments.
- Water Extraction
- Fire Restoration
- Respond to Customer Concerns (i.e. “RE-DO’s”)
- Perform In-Plant Cleaning when necessary (Rugs and Upholster).
- Master Purpose and Use of all equipment and materials.
- Maintain working condition of all equipment and materials.
- Take daily inventory on truck.
- Replenish truck needs from warehouse.
- Take weekly inventory at warehouse.
- Clean Interior and Exterior of vehicle on an as needed basis (maintain a clean vehicle as much as possible.
- Handle payment transactions when necessary.
- Perform emergency service work (Water Restoration Division) as needed. Required to be apart of the On-Call Schedule at least once a month and out of town rotation schedule.
- Assist in new technician training.
- Ability to take the lead on jobs including directing crews. Needs to update Supervisor of any problems or situations immediately.
- Customer follow up maintained on a daily basis such as updating customer and supervisor on progress and status.
- Job Hopper – Key enter progress notes into database on each customer daily.
- Complete all paperwork daily such as time and material sheets.
- Maintain and update VAULT board daily.
- Adhere to All State Wage & Hour Laws (i.e. Required 20 minute Lunch Break during 7.5 hr. Working Day)
- Perform miscellaneous duties assigned by Division Management.
- Available for On Call work one night each week and one weekend every 4 weeks.
