Job Description
Richland Community College is seeking non-credit instructors for our Workforce Development program. Classes will be at Richland’s main campus in Decatur, Illinois.

Instructors are needed to teach skills and knowledge on various process technology topics including:
  • Principles of control loops including manual and automatic valves, and pumps;
  • The differences between different styles of tanks, evaporators, boilers, and reactors; and
  • Most common used tools and how to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Additional topics in production, quality, and safety.

Essential functions include:
  • Providing classroom, online, and laboratory instruction related to Industrial/Manufacturing Process technologies; industrial process equipment, utility equipment, process control;
  • Assuring the training programs are maintained current and incorporate updates and changes; and
  • Preparing and conducting evaluations for classroom, laboratory, simulator environments, and AMATROL Process Trainers.

This position is on campus requiring the instructor to provide in-person instruction.
Required Qualifications
Candidates need to be proficient in their subject areas and have the ability to facilitate a classroom as well as able to provide individual student instruction and attention. Use of process equipment including including level and flow, temperature, analytical/pH, pressure, and troubleshooting will be required.
