The EnRich Nurse Assistant and Nursing Student Tutor will work in-person or remotely, primarily one-on-one or in a small focused group with students to aid in academic success in the specific areas of Nurse Assistant and Nursing Student classes for EnRich Healthcare Students at Richland Community College to promote retention and success. The tutor may also work with college faculty on special assignments that require tutoring assistance and prepare materials for use in working with students in a tutoring session. Tutors will cultivate relationships with both traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.

Associate’s degree in Nursing with an active and good standing registered nursing license. Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with individuals of various abilities, ages, and needs. Content knowledge in the area of expertise and any other requirements corresponding to course knowledge needed for a specific subject.

Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.

Operates teaching and learning aids used in the tutoring session. Receives processes and provides visual and verbal information effectively. Spends prolonged periods of time standing or sitting when working with individual students or in a group setting. Relate in a positive manner to all students with a profound understanding of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and a sense of Belonging.
