Job Description |
The Director of Grants and Sponsored Projects is responsible for researching, acquiring, and monitoring grants from public and private sources to help the College to achieve its strategic goals. The Director cultivates a culture of grant development and management within the college by educating college leadership and the broader campus community about current and prospective grants and their potential and by engaging colleagues in various aspects of the grant-seeking process. The Director leads effective grant planning and management activities to ensure strategic, data-driven, and compliant proposals.
As leader of the Grants and Sponsored Projects Department, the Director supervises department employees and develops and monitors annual department work plans and budgets. The Director oversees the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and ways of work that help ensure the college’s compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and funder requirements.

Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree required. Five (5) years’ experience in a full-time grant-writing position(s) with successful track record of securing and managing grants, including complex and highly technical grants and grants from federal funding sources. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience working in higher education and/or community college setting. Master’s degree preferred. |

Provide timely response to externally imposed conditions and deadlines.
Respond to concurrent, multiple non-related issues.
Work is routinely performed in office environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling, using hands and fingers, stooping and occasional lifting of objects up to 10 lbs.
