| Job Description | Richland Community College is seeking a qualified individual to become the Skilled Trades Specialist for its Pre-Apprenticeship program through its Workforce Development Division. The Specialist would be expected have the ability to relate with the diverse populations that they will be serving. The Specialist will assist pre-apprentices with the transition from the pre-apprenticeship training program to a Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program. The Specialist may also provide classroom instruction in a variety of areas with in their expertise and qualifications. This position will encompass a variety of duties, all of which help serve, develop and achieve success for the program and its participants. This position is open to current Richland Community College employees only. |
| Required Qualifications |
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of 3years’ experience in instructing
· Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
· Minimum of 1-year administrative experience

| Preferred Qualifications |
· Associates degree plus 1-3 years of experience
· Credentials and certifications in various construction fields and/or OSHA fields.
· Possess a Journeyman Card through a nationally recognized labor union
|
| Physical Demands |
· Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
· Must be able to travel locally as needed for training, conferences and/or recruitment.
