Job Description
The CEJA Student Support Services Coordinator is responsible for addressing the academic needs of students by implementing comprehensive student support services. This role involves tracking participant progress, developing action plans, monitoring attendance and academic performance, hosting make-up sessions and post-assessment retakes, and coordinating tutoring services. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree and a passion for helping students succeed academically. This is a grant-funded position and is subject to continued funding.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associate Degree in social work or closely related field from an accredited institution, and at least two years of work-related experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and proficient with computer skills. Must maintain a current valid Illinois Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in using job placement and career development tools.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Must be willing to work beyond an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. work schedule to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. There may be irregular hours including weekend and/or evening hours. Summer hours may vary. This position is eligible for an alternate work schedule after the probationary period has been successfully complete.
TRAVEL
This position may require occasional travel to meet with employers and attend industry events.
Some local travel required.
Participation at state or local meetings and/or conferences may require overnight travel.

Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information.
Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.

Salary N-08, Minimum Starting $19.34/hr
