Job Description | Plan, prepare, implement, teach, and evaluate classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction and serve as academic advisor for students. Participate in program development and evaluation. Participate on other college committees and activities as needed. Required Qualifications | Minimum RequirementsBachelor of Science with a major in Nursing and a valid Illinois Registered Nurse License is required for the P.N. Nursing Faculty. Two years’ experience in clinical nursing practice. Required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesDemonstrated written and oral communication skills, analytical skills; familiarity with state requirements for the health care industry and capable of adapting rapidly to a variety of situations. |
Preferred Qualifications | PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two years teaching experience preferred. |
Physical Demands | Physical/mental demand and work environmentOperate standard office equipment such as phone and computer on a frequent basis. Receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information. Occasional irregular hours and travel. Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations. Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines. Make choices regarding long and short-term benefits and/or damages to individuals and/or damages to individuals and/or entire institution often based on incomplete information and where differences in opinions exist. Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues. |
