Job Description
The Director is responsible for providing leadership for all online learning initiatives, and will encourage additional online course and program offerings, provide technical training in online delivery, review teaching materials and methods for faculty developing courses and programs in alternative formats, and provide guidance on course content and delivery effectiveness. Responsible for developing and facilitating professional development sessions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in area of discipline, Certified Online Learning Administrator through Illinois Online Network or equivalent; and must have developed at least two original online classes and taught at least four sections of online courses. Three years of experience in the online learning/distance education field and experience with academic online content management systems (Canvas) preferred. Experience with Instructional Design and developing online courses preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and Administrators. Must be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills and familiarity with regulations and accreditations in the online learning field. Must be able to handle budget creation and tracking, including the management of day-to-day expenses.

Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information.
Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
Occasional irregular hours and travel.
Provide timely response to externally/internally imposed conditions and deadlines.
Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.
Salary E-13, Minimum Starting $69,673.76
