Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides personal administrative support and assistance to the Executive Vice-President Academic & Student Success. Work is performed under minimum supervision and requires incumbent to exercise independent judgment and discretion. Supervises and directs the day-to-day functions of the vice president’s office.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
An Associate’s Degree in Office Technology or related field and five years of administrative support experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and word processing and spreadsheet skills; professional customer service skills; experience and ability to work effectively with the public in highly stressful situations; ability to prioritize job responsibilities; knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; ability to make sound decisions in accordance with college policy, rules, regulations, and departmental policies; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and with the public.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Physical Demands
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing 25 pounds.
Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information.
Provide timely response to externally imposed conditions and deadlines
Respond to concurrent, multiple, non-related issues.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Summer hours may vary.
TRAVEL
Occasional irregular hours and travel.
Salary N-9, Minimum Starting $21.39/hr
