Job Description | The Student Resource Navigator is responsible for providing dedicated support to students requiring assistance with state-mandated services, including DACA, Benefits, HOUSE, and Mental health. This role also involves case management for a small caseload of students, offering personalized guidance and ensuring students have access to the resources they need. The Student Resource Navigator will collaborate with campus departments to facilitate student success, track progress, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, the Navigator will coordinate workshops and outreach initiatives to educate students about available services. This position is crucial in advocating for students’ needs, ensuring they receive consistent and effective support while fostering engagement and retention. |
Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s Degree required in education, social sciences, or related field. 1-2 years of relevant experience. Demonstrates an understanding of, and a commitment to, the community college mission and student population. Must maintain a current Illinois Driver’s license and reliable transportation. |
Preferred Qualifications | Master’s Degree in student personnel, higher education administration, or closely related field and 3-5 years relevant experience preferred. |
