| Job Description | The EnRich Administrative Assistant serves as the primary administrative support professional for the EnRich program and is often the first point of contact for students, participants, staff, community partners, and visitors. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment while providing comprehensive administrative and office support to the Executive Director of EnRich and program staff.
The EnRich Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative, clerical, and operational duties that support the effective delivery of program services and activities. Responsibilities include coordinating communications, scheduling meetings and events, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining confidential records, supporting participant engagement initiatives, and assisting with special events and program operations. The position also maintains participant and program data, supports reporting and compliance requirements, and assists with the collection and submission of information required for grant-funded programs.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and customer-service focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. This position works collaboratively with program staff, College departments, and community partners to support participant success and advance the mission and goals of EnRich and Richland Community College.
This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon the availability of funding. |
| Required Qualifications | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Graduation from high school or equivalent, supplemented by college coursework in office technology and three years of experience in performing secretarial work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively with the public, including in stressful or challenging situations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in accordance with College policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and departmental guidelines.
- Ability to maintain and manage a quiet, productive study environment.
- Ability to identify concerns or issues and promptly communicate them to the Executive Director of EnRich.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

| Physical Demands | EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed. There may be irregular hours periodically including weekend and/or evening hours for recruitment events, media events, and meetings. Summer hours may vary. The position may be eligible for the flexible work arrangement after the 120-day probationary period is successfully met. TRAVEL Travel to both in-state and out-of-state events and organizations/businesses may be necessary. PHYSICAL /MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT - Must be able to receive, process, and provide visual and verbal information.
