Test Engineer

Role Responsibilities

TCCI is looking to grow our Global Engineering organization. In support of our growth and new market opportunities, we are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans for our products, ensuring high quality and reliability. You will collaborate closely with software developers and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to identify test requirements and devise effective testing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in software testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

· Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.

· Executing tests on software usability, functionality, and performance.

· Identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content.

· Performing and coordinating system verification and validation test activities utilizing various tools.

· Developing and executing automated tests using appropriate tools.

· Collaborating with software development teams to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

· Participating in design and code reviews to provide input on testability and quality.

· Investigating customer problems referred to you by the technical support team.

· Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Qualifications

· 1-3 years experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle development process

· 1-3 years experience supporting external customers

· Knowledge and familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, DVP

· Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Knowledge of electric or hybrid electric vehicle drive systems and applications

· Experience with HVAC or refrigerant systems

· Knowledge of Volkswagen VDA 6.3 quality standard

· Experience with compressors or expanders

· Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
