What you will do:
The Project Engineer II will autonomously lead assigned projects that have an impact on an entire department. Moving both projects and the team forward to deliver results in a way that is aligned with company values. The Project Engineer II provides engineering and project management support for the Engineering Manager and the Director of Engineering, as required.
Here’s a day in the life:
- Work with Cross functional teams to successfully lead project set-up including gathering requirements, estimating costs, supporting preliminary Return-On-Investment (ROI) analysis of potential/conceptual projects, obtaining funding authorization and assessing risk.
- Lead engineering design of Process, Equipment, Facilities, Electrical, Controls/Automation, and Utilities. Ensure project adheres to Engineering Standards to meet/exceed SQF/ODA quality improvement expectations throughout the plant.
- Lead equipment & services selection. This includes the evaluation, selection and procurement of equipment and services. This work includes contract negotiation.
- Responsible for project control elements of each project including managing cost, cash flow schedule, scope (change orders), risk.
- Manage the construction of a project including the demolition, build, and install. Acceptance testing coordination Mark up project drawings to create as built documentation. While meeting /exceeding quality and safety expectations throughout the plant.
- Manage the startup of a project including acceptance testing, testing on site and performing initial production runs.
- Responsible to successfully close each project including Project Documentation, Procedure Documents, Operation Training, Punchlist, Handover, and project lessons learned.
- Executing project while demonstrating Intermediate Project Management Skills including … Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue tracking.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
4 -7 years of progressively responsible experience managing a manufacturing operation with supervisor experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
