What you will do:
The Senior Inventory Specialist works collaboratively with manufacturing and warehouse departments to conduct and support both cycle count and month-end close activities, ensuring inventory records remain accurate and dependable. Through comprehensive data analysis, this position proactively detects discrepancies or reporting concerns and provides recommendations for targeted improvements in inventory control processes. The Senior Inventory Specialist also plays a key role in developing and executing new inventory management strategies that streamline workflows and enhance precision and efficiency throughout organizational inventory tracking. Responsibilities additionally include periodic travel to designated third-party logistics partners to conduct scheduled site visits and perform inventory accuracy audits.
Here’s a day in the life:
Coordinate, plan, and execute cycle counts as well as all activities associated with the month-end close process.
Reviews inventory, receiving and consumption data to detect reporting errors or inconsistencies.
Implements process improvements for inventory control methodology.
Works with internal and external warehousing teams to meet inventory accuracy goals.
Creates and executes the annual physical inventory process for internal and external operations in the Eastern U.S.
Reports on inventory levels, warehouse performance, procedural efficiency, and personnel issues to management.
Supports team success by achieving related objectives as required.
Act as a team player and interact effectively with staff at all levels of the company.
Communicate effectively.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Knowledge and understanding of ERP systems. D3F&O experience preferred
Work under pressure, meet deadlines, and remain flexible in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
A bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent experience, is acceptable.
5 + years of dairy/beverage/food logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, and Inventory management.
Willing to travel to Tillamook facilities and third-party partners 15-20% of the time.

Salary Information:
This is an hourly position with a starting wage $25.32 depending on experience.
Working conditions:
Administration: Plant office and department offices are located in the plant or warehouse areas.
Individual workspace, desk, and computer. It may not be temperature-controlled, and it could have loud background noises. May include entering a production facility and walking on uneven, slippery surfaces, as well as encountering forklift traffic. Requires sitting for the majority of the shift, with occasional standing and walking to accomplish tasks. May require stooping, bending, and crouching to file and retrieve supplies. Occasional lifting of 25 pounds.
